Eoraptor Dinosaur
Let's talk about the Eoraptor now. No, I'm sorry it's not your favorite dinosaur you want to hear about, the velociraptor. Don't worry though. There's enough info on the Eoraptor to write up a huge essay on. In the late Triassic times, many of the big land animals were crocodile relatives and other reptiles. The first dinosaurs were really small. Eoraptor was the size of a fox. That's about 3.3 feet. It had long jaws and sharp carnivore teeth just like the later era huge dinosaurs but it just hadn't evolved yet to be big. Another dinosaur fact like big carnivores the Eoraptor also had strong hind legs, and tough long tail for balance, and tiny little arms. It's also known as the first real dinosaur to ever walk the planet. There isn't much known about their behavior but it wouldn't be too much of a surprise that they lived and hunted in packs due to the nature of their findings. Dinosaur diggers often found a bunch of full fossils together and rarely just one alone. The first fossil ever found of Eoraptor was by a guy named Paul Serono, in 1991 so it's a newer species |
